Little Reed

The Charm of Our Local Culture and History

Little Reed is located in the heart of the tranquil village of Metn Qaza, Qsaibeh, just a short distance away from Beirut. While many visitors come to Little Reed to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, they are also drawn to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the area.

The village of Metn Qaza is steeped in history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Neolithic period. The village was later inhabited by the Phoenicians, followed by the Romans and then the Ottoman Empire. Today, the village is a vibrant community that celebrates its cultural and historical heritage.

At Little Reed, we believe that food is an essential part of any culture, and we are proud to offer our guests a taste of the local cuisine. Our signature dishes are Lebanese mezzeh, which are small, flavorful plates that are perfect for sharing. We use only the freshest ingredients, many of which come directly from our own farm or from local suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and quality.

But it’s not just our food that is steeped in local culture and history. We are also committed to preserving and celebrating the heritage of the area. Our farmhouse was inspired by the traditional houses of the owner’s grandfather, and we have carefully designed our space to reflect the warmth and hospitality that is at the heart of the local culture.

We also offer a range of activities that allow our guests to experience the local culture and history firsthand. We offer village tours, nature walks and hikes, and wellness retreats that include yoga and meditation. Our cooking classes and organic farming workshops are also an excellent way to learn about the local cuisine and agricultural practices.

One of the highlights of the area is the nearby landmark of Deir El Kalaa, a historic monastery that dates back to the 12th century. Visitors can explore the beautiful grounds and learn about the history of the monastery and the local area.

At Little Reed, we are committed to promoting the local culture and history of the area while also providing our guests with a comfortable and welcoming space to relax and rejuvenate. We invite you to visit us and experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of Metn Qaza for yourself.
